Why Alabama Has 12 On Helmet

Two British films to mention

This time I want to talk about two films that have recently come to British cinemas and most likely will not see the big screen in Colombia. I doubt, moreover, do appear on DVD soon. The reason is very simple: both films have their pleasure for specialist or nostalgic, but definitely not for the massive multiplex and film effects, explosions and violence immeasurable.

The first of the two books I want to mention is "Jackboots on Whitehall" of the brothers McHenry. This satirical piece shot entirely with plastic dolls alreno create a past in which Hitler choose to invade England via a tunnel to emerge directly in front of Whitehall, where the center of British government: the house # 10 Downing Street, where lives and works Winston Churchill as British prime minister.

The humor of the play is based on making fun of stereotypes, use of certain sets of voices of the actors best known in the UK (Ewan McGregor and Richard E. grant including ), and make more of a reference to the films of the war, known actors, and other films that breaks without penalty. Outside of that, not a few political jokes and puns abound. Like all base construction work in that style dolls, and here I think of "Team America", this can not be more than a cult for youth and teens who enjoy vulgarity and absurdity. Although the work does not require great intellectual level, if you require a moderate knowledge of British history and politics of the time, so that the jokes have weight. Therefore, it is doomed to be a local broadcast or film, the best, to be a favorite for fans of this type of humor.

Monty Python quote: "Now for something completely different ..."

The second film to which I refer is "Another year" of Mike Leigh. In this audiovisual work has a year in the life of a happy couple of older adults, who tend their gardens, talk about life, and quietly take his fall. But around him are a number of friends who seem to have lost the fight against time, and have crashed with anxiety about the meaning of his own existence.

This film is incredibly moving, perhaps due to lack of visual and audio devices, allowing us to feel the force of the long silences, blank looks, and gestures clearly shredded by the camera. The emocionesse are nicely described by a wonderful acting group that includes us in his life, which are casual voyeurs.

In a recent film so loaded with effects, not want to talk 3D, this film is a breath that reminds us that it is not always necessary to have a heroic story, but the lives of people, their encounters and conflicts, their successes and failures, are the very fabric of the stories that interest us truth. Desperation see four faces totally different, and each tells a short story, leaving drowsing with the rest of the biography of each character. _________

Appendix: Soon will be coming to movie theaters the film "Let me in" (Let me), directed by Matt Reeves. I am sure that this not be sexual ambiguity and geriatric character in the play cinematográfica de la cual se copia - "Let the right one in" (Låt den rätte komma in) del director Sueco Tomas Alfredson, basada en la novela del mismo nombre.

Leasing OF LEASE ACCOUNTING -

According to the provisions of IAS 17 should record an asset and a liability for the same value must be equal to the fair value of the leased property (see accounting records 1). If this value is not equal to fair value but minor, you must register the present value of payments under the lease, excluding from the cost of ownership or any fees associated with the procurement process and are paid by the landlord in the transaction. The fair value should be determined on the date of the contract and the present value of minimum lease payments should be calculated on the starting date of the lease term.
After this must be the successive records of payments of contributions, separating the capital of these interests that include the capital should reduce the bill to pay without forgetting that we do the registration for VAT operation, since according to tax provisions in force in Venezuela this is because at the time of cancellation fees (see accounting entry 2) and then be recorded interest expense for the period, discharging is the provision of interest payable at the time of completed creation of liabilities (see accounting entry 3).

REGISTRATION OF LEASE ACCOUNTING ISSUES - THE CALCULATION

Several accounting issues that companies should consider for the registration of financial leasing operations, one of them is the calculation of dues to pay, as I explained above quotas comprise a proportion of capital and other interests in Venezuela usually the method of depreciation utilizars French describe below

Where: R = Amount share
C = Total capital to repay or
i = Interest Rate Annualized
n = Number of shares to be amortized in the lease

for us to understand its operation and can also develop the amortization table that will be required in the operation illustrated with a practical example, we say that effected a lease of a vehicle cargo Bs - 500,000.00 and the bank has granted three years of funding to 25% annual lease cancel our monthly payments.
calculated according to the formula above and get a monthly fee of Bs - 19879.91, then say that you first cancel the interest on the principal owed and what remainder of this share capital with which we will build the following table is an amortization table:

As you can see each share is also growing amount we amortize capital and the remaining capital is rapidly smaller, and likewise with increasing our share of capital in the share decreases our share of interest and so on.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF LEASING

While it is true that leasing is certainly a useful tool for allow these companies by way of funding short and medium term, like everything else, has its advantages and disadvantages which will try to summarize very briefly:
ADVANTAGES
1) not require an initial payment, so that keeps the business case for use in operational and production cycle, this implies that allows finance 100% of the total value assets acquired.
2) leasing operations are not considered commercial risk operations at the bank because, per se, are automatically backed by an asset.
3) In many countries the total amount of lease payments can be recorded as an expense, thereby decreasing the amount of taxes to be canceled at year end, this occurs in normal conditions more accelerated depreciation for wear and tear over the life of the asset.
4) allows flexibility and expedite the technological upgrading of equipment as to be obsolete or to be worn by their use they can be replaced almost immediately by other equipment purchased by a new lease.
DISADVANTAGES:
1) Leases are usually more expensive than bank loans require a more accelerated depreciation of capital that increased financial costs of companies
2) can not take ownership of the asset until it terminates the lease, when it is perfected transmission
of the above, I think I can conclude that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages in this case, so that means a viable alternative for companies that do not have large capital and need to expand its operational capacity.

IMPLEMENTATION OF LEASING IN VENEZUELA

Not until 1969 to start meeting in Venezuela leasing institutions with the creation of companies Arrendaven and after this Arrendaequipos and Arrendarca. The development of this sector in the country was particularly slow, until in 1976 with the nationalization of oil was an expansion in this market would push further the development of relevant legislation and its inclusion in the General Law on Banks and Other Financial Institutions Financial.
There are now lots of companies engaged in leasing in the country, many if not most, are engaged in vehicle leasing cargo and heavy machinery, as these are the most common alternative, but can get examples of companies engaged in leasing computer equipment and almost anything else that by nature leasable from cars to commercial and land.

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE FINANCIAL AND OPERATING LEASE

As you have granted in the previous post there are at least two types of leases, although some authors classify more than two I will stick to the classification set out in IAS 17, which will quote below a few extracts from its paragraph 4: " Leasing is a type of lease that transfers substantially all risks and rewards of ownership of assets. Ownership of the same, if any, may or may not be transferred "and the operating lease reads:" operating lease is a lease other than leases . " (2)
Now try to explain this difference as best as it depends on the nature and spirit of negotiation, in principle what they perceive leasing the lessor of the lessee are the return of capital valued by the asset value and interest under this, do not get any additional benefit as I described this as raw output of the asset or its yield, and the landlord does not assume any inherent risk related to assets, or operation, or maintenance or accidents that may cause to others or the lessee thereof, in short the landlord delivers everything right and wrong for himself preserving asset value and interest with the sole exception of the ownership of the property may well be left in the hands of the landlord and the tenant depending on the agreement between them.
Photo taken from the link: http://araxa.olx.com.br/locacao-maquinas-pesadas-iid-18947859

why any lease agreement that includes extra payments based on profitability to produce the good or maintenance costs, transportation and installation, or bonuses for profits is considered exceptional operating lease, in addition to this an important factor is that in cases of lease always operating assets remain in the hands of the lessor and not the tenant.

FACTORS INVOLVED IN THE HISTORY

in the leasing process involving several factors, the former are the subjects which carry out contract and the latter regarding the method, the calculation of payments and accounting records that cause, then define:
A. Subjects
a) The lease is one that the asset owner decides to rent it by giving up his right change of use to gain by it and in some cases the recovery of the value of its assets or return it.
b) Lessee: This is the subject that this operation receives the rights to use the asset for a specified time, it is important that assets are subject to this type of operation are operating assets, that is, money can be used to generate direct or indirectly, as the lessee's interest is to put into production assets in order to obtain this benefit, which estimates the highest amount that spending to pay for interest and expenses associated with leasing.
c) The Investor: This is the character who has the capital need to invest in making the loan transaction required to settle the costs to the landlord which are profits on which the investor pays the interest charged the tenant.
d) The Assets: The real or personal property to be leased and owned by the lessee, as I explained this is a productive asset which can be profitably own production directly or indirectly.
B. The impersonal
a) Spending: Are additional payouts to the value of the asset that should remove the tenant to the landlord (probably through the investor) are the premium on income gain of good, better explain, is how the profit share have the effect of active production between the tenant and the landlord, the investor participates in this hand expenditure for the payment of interest by the operation, these will also be removed from the production or profit generated by the tenant the right asset.
b) Dues Funding: Are the periodic payments according to the negotiation conducted between the three participants have to pay the tenants above, these usually include a portion of interest and a capital lease or right of return becomes the asset value, these fees are usually constant but there are ways where you place special or additional fees eventually tied to a fixed or variable productive asset.
c) The Lease Agreement: The agreement signed between the landlord and tenant which sets out the conditions and are given the rights to use the asset to the lessor, expressed herein fees, interest, is attached table depreciation and establishes penalties for breach of any of the parties and the same is set at the end of the contract if it will sell the asset to the lessor or the lessee will be refunded, as we shall see this is an important point.
d) Depreciation and wear: As you may have heard the productive assets and unproductive suffer wear and tear, this wear Dwindling asset value over time as it is used, likewise there is also the depreciation is only necessary for the monetary reserve asset to restore after you are fully worn and / or has served its useful life.

LEASING

According to historical records the first practice of leasing, which has been documented to have occurred in the Roman Empire and followed a similar parallel between the Phoenicians. In the first case under the rule of Tiberius Gracchus to the establishment of the Agrarian Law, which approved the expropriation of large estates and gave land to poor citizens, to prevent these were given a different use commissioned by the state of the figure of the delivery of the lease land was inherited, where he received the land had no right of ownership over this, so could not turn sell or lease.
In the case of the Phoenicians, they set up many factories along the Mediterranean, which rented out to rescue the investment made or what it is taxed by them so that rescued after reversed value sold to the plaintiffs, and when it could not abandon them.
These practices continued to occur in one form or another in the Middle Ages, when it was common to pay taxes to the feudal lord of the land use is also the case of servants serfdom that had to give part the fruits of the land given in usufruct, and then inherited money, and even the revival peak charging even with the industrial revolution which made common use of equipment lease for the exploitation of resources or manufacturing of products, examples of this can be found in the UK by 1840 when the "Wagon Companies" leased rail cars to the owners of coal mines and other minerals, as well as mining United States from 1872 where it became common to lease casual or temporary equipment for mineral exploration.
No It was not until 1950 that the lease takes the form closest to the present when the idea of \u200b\u200ban American shoemaker who cornered by the scarcity of credit in the bank intends to sell its production equipment in operation in exchange for a loan for two years so that after this the bank to recover its money plus interest and gain back your team, increasing the process with the capital raised its production capacity from this operation was born the U.S. Leasing Corporation became the first company the lease in the United States.

WHAT IS LEASING?

According to the prescriptions of the International Accounting Standards (IAS) in his No. 17 and IAS 17 as is usually called, establishes the definition of lease as follows: " lease is an agreement whereby the lessor conveys to the lessee in return for payment of a lump sum of money, or series of payments or contributions, the right to use an asset for a period of time " (1) .
Leasing is basically a temporary use rights in an asset, be it movable or immovable property, the entity that gives this well is called the landlord and who receives a temporary basis to use it tenant calls, this operation is so lucrative because the tenant is obliged to cancel the landlord a sum of money either in a lump sum or in several consecutive payments established over time, this agreement or contract has a specific time and at the end of several events may occur depending on the type of tenancy which will detail later.

Roman Polanski and Tenant

Por Alfred Eastwood
A finales del año pasado se desató una gran polémica que de nuevo tocó la vida de Roman Polanski, director de cine polaco, que ha padecido toda clase de señalamientos y tragedias personales. From the condition of the second world war and the murder of his beautiful wife Sharon Tate at the hands of the redoubtable Charles Manson to the most recent accusation of rape of a child under fourteen more than thirty years. But it is not Polanski's personal life than I care to talk, if not his work, although as is often the case, it is very difficult to disentangle from each other. A Roman Polasnki
same thing happens to many European directors, their films are labeled as too commercial by the Europeans and as slow by the Americans. The interesting thing here is that everyone has the right, because even many of his films blend the two ingredients in their stories. Known
in Colombia, primarily by the critically acclaimed and award-winning The Pianist (The Pianist, 2008), Polanski has developed a career spanning more than forty years with titles as memorable as Chinatown (Chinatown, 1974), Baby Rosmery (Rosmery's Baby, 1968) The Tenant (Le Locataire, 1976) and Bitter Moon (Bitter Moon, 1992). Beyond
his controversial personal life, the films of Roman Polanski is also a window into one of the worlds most rugged and can be horrific: the human mind and twisted possibilities. Unlike other authors, Polanski's films could be as simple stories, no fuss, we count much more than it seems. It is difficult to maintain tension when you have a movie about a couple and a boy who surf and get lost in a small sailing boat or a tenant who keeps locked in a room with a woman who has attempted suicide or a pianist that hidden hopes to save at the end of World War II. Roman Polanski succeeds in doing so, demonstrating a classic cinematic style are more important where the good stories that camera tricks.
Although not his most famous film, one of the best stories is that of The Tenant, 1976. In this film, Polanski is Trelkovski, a loner who moves into the apartment a young woman who has just attempted suicide. In an interesting twist in the script, Trelkovski decides to visit the dying woman and begins to get involved to feel firsthand the psychological and emotional instability of a traumatic event. Trevolski is not only a tenant of the apartment, does not feel comfortable with himself, as if his body also was an occasional home.
The film would not be as interesting if it were a conventional thriller, but this is not possible in the films of Polanski, in a move that allows us to be formidable third player at the table to feel the same way through silences Trelkovski endless dead time and trouble to finish at a time dramatic and psychologically terrifying movie that extends the audience for hours, months, days.

experienced similar sensations in movies like Bitter Moon, The Pianist or Frantic Search, in which using a refined staging while elementary, we can feel firsthand the heartbreak, fear and uncertainty of the main characters.
is possible that many people bother Polasnki as a person, but the fact is that many of us bother his films, but not because they're bad or anything, but because they are an uncomfortable intimacy balcony of his characters, reminding us as dark each of us.

Reliving the dreams, fantasies dusting, and returned back the clock at times, if not happiest, most uncomplicated but surely, this should be the role of films, especially those that look well in advance to draw on our imaginations new figures of old stereotypes. Well, that's The Magnificent, a wonderful tool for twenty years back our lives and re-excited about the adventures and travails of a group of experts from the U.S. Army Rangers. It's exciting to be

again with Colonel Hannibal Smith, Face, with Baracus and Murdoch, and also with actors who not only respected the essence of the icons, but were able to bring a story training for people of my generation to new audiences.

Economic performance in the film are not expected. Insurance is adequate to ensure recovery of investment, which exceeds 100 million dollars, but I do not think we can have a sequel. no matter, this film does not leave such a good taste in the mouth, and eyes that like good wine, we will keep this film as a jewel in our video library. Do not get me confused ... It is an excellent movie. Two hours are very funny and endearing for those who miss shows like The A Team, McGyver, Automan and others. Recommended

, a closed eye, they see this movie and laugh, get excited and filled with nostalgia of past times less complicated.

My Top 10 Best Movies of the Decade 2000-2009

By Alfred Eastwood There is a great temptation for film lovers: do lists or personal counts. If this service added the great cliché to say that the list is personal, subjective and that there are many items out, we are at the absolute edge of cliché. So it is best not to speak and present just a list with all these features and also supports many discrepancies on which in my opinion are the best films of the first decade of the century.

10. No Man's Land. Danis Tanovic / Bosnia Herzegovina, 2000.
Using the framework of a conflict which met from within, Tanovic, who was a war correspondent in Bosnia-Herzegovina, criticism with humor and without mercy the role of the UN and the absurd in all military confrontations. Human acidic film.

9. Hero Zhang Yimou / China, 2002
hitherto virtually unknown in the West, Yimou has shown us the splendor of their culture, displaying a beautiful picture to tell an epic story of the Chinese Empire. Impressive and captivating.

8. Behind the Sun Walter Salles, Brazil, in 2002
unfortunately seen by few in our country (He was not in theaters and we believe that only those who went to festicine of Cartagena), this film by Salles (The Motorcycle Diaries itself), marked a high point in exotic Brazilian film telling the story of a duel of honor between families, through exquisite photography. A look at the stranger rural Latin America.

7. Gran Torino Clint Eastwood / USA, 2009
One of the best films of Eastwood, the last great movie classic, is the framework to tell the story from one character to the ancient learned the hard way to live and to respect individual differences. In his farewell as an actor, Eastwood confirms that it is an icon of cinema.

6. Memento Christopher Nolan / USA, 2000
Thanks to the break with classical narrative beginning, middle and end, Nolan amnesia makes us and makes us live life looking backwards more important: Who we really are and why we do what we do?

5. The Lives of Others Florian Henckel / Germany, 2006
Leaving aside the political pamphlet which tend to become this kind of movie, "The Lives of Others" is a journey from intolerance to understanding other points of view through exercise to "take the place of others." A story that confronts us with our personal prejudices.

4. Mystic River Clint Eastwood / USA, 2003
One of the best casts in recent years, led by the best contemporary director gives rise to a brilliant police tape on crime, punishment and redemption, framed by friendship and complicity.

3. The Diving Bell and the Butterfly Julian Schnabel / France, 2007
Based on a best-selling literature and the true story of journalist Dominique Baubin, cinema film is written in first person painfully. A humane and moving drama that reaches the limit of making us feel hopeless in the flesh the feeling of not controlling our body.

2. Oliver Hirschbiegel's The Experiment / Germany, 2001
This film is almost a sociological treatise on how people behave in extreme situations and assuming a role. Based on a real experiment, this film confronts us with the dilemma of those who think we are and what we really are.

1. City of God Fernando Mereilles / Brazil, 2002
An honest look at the favelas of Rio, which are not very different from our neighborhoods, a neighborhood that grows as a witness to a history of blood and a colorful journey through the darkest situations characterized Mereilles that the film boasts an impressive photo, mounted copy and a message even more powerful.

cinema imitates life and so the charm of the movies is that most of us tell us that what really counts.

Why the claim romantic comedies?

By: Jairo Potter

At the request of The Capo, we will try to make our posts a little shorter, seeking to have a better chance of interaction with each of you.

With this idea, the truth, I was doing a favor at this time, because although I plead defender of some examples of the genre, romantic comedies are becoming a problem for the world of film or if wants un ejemplo de películas hechas a la carrera y con actores estereotipados, ya sea por su 'calidad' o por sus éxitos pasados.

In short, wonderful films.

The problem is that lately we have found such terrible examples Where is the Morgan?, Valentine's Day and The Bounty Hunter. Stories told badly, badly armed and badly estalarizadas especially by "stars" like Jennifer Aniston (which should accept a Friends movie as soon as possible because it goes toward the abyss), Sarah Jessica Parker, Ashton Kutchner or George Lopez.

are perfect examples of how to build a disaster in the history of cinema. And the worst is that lockers are goes well, ensuring even even worse consequences.

And after waiting ... Then came the summer (May)

By Jairo Potter

First I want to apologize for having left these two months, but we are back to open a window into Hollywood in our Blog, but it seems that we are making progress with Keto. Let's wait and see.

now have to get in, because for those of us who love movies is a special time of year when every week we have the premiere of a movie we've been waiting for months, some even a couple of years. It is time for the premieres of summer, a time when we did not leave the cinema and Jerome does not leave the video store or specialty rooms because our territory will not be anything you like. Well ... what can we do.

Although chronologically the summer does not start up within a month, studies have taken over the 16 weeks to introduce the films they trust to take over the market and is an occasional story in the imagination of all that we feel vacation, so I do not.

Well, let's look at that in my opinion are the jewels of this season of 2010 and those films that we hope will be burned off the shelves of history. This is what there is to see:

We started with Iron Man 2, directed by Jon Favreau and starring Robert Downey Jr., who by the way, thanks to the first film series we recover the ostracism of drug scandals and one of its best actors of recent years. We shall not dwell much better because it Keto said, I can not tell you what good movie should be. Opens this week here in Colombia.

The next week we are working with the fifth set of Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe, who after Gladiator, American Gangster, the wonderful A Good Year and easily forgettable Body of Lies, give us a new version of Robin Wood, in seeking to tell how a British nobleman became the legendary bandit who robbed the rich to give to the poor. Hopefully this story is closer to the classic Erroll Flynn movie and not Kevin Costner disaster. They also act Cate Blanchet (The Aviator), William Hurt (Hulk) and Mark Strong (Sherlock Holmes).

parallel, and for those who like a little romance, film premieres Letters to Juliet, starring Amanda Seyfried (Mamma Mia), and tells the story of an American girl who discovers a love that lasted over time and in the colors of the wonderful Italian province.

After we find the fourth and final installment in the saga of the green ogre and his friends, Shrek Forever After, that brings all the players back but unknown each other because of an evil spell of Rumpelstiltskin that gives the power in the kingdom of Far Far Away. The return of the traditional characters of the series that since 2001 has produced over one billion dollars in box office. An animated film that seeks to reclaim the lead of Shrek 2, forgetting the disaster of the third installment in the magic of 3D.

The arrival of Shrek and his gang gives us a chance to ignore MacGruber, a parody of the popular 80's MacGyber result of a segment of the U.S. program Saturday Night Live that following the example of The Blues Brothers and The Coneheads seeks to establish itself as a film option crude and simple humor.

May ended with the inevitable contribution of Jerry Bruckheimer, who incidentally is working on the next installment of Pirates of the Caribbean, Prince of Persia The Sands of Time , starring Jake Gyllenhaal (Brothers) and enable them to manage by Mike Newell, hopefully you were able to remove the taste of failure of the mouth after Love in the Time of Cholera. This is a film based on a popular video game that follows the adventures of a prince that time domain tries to prevent an evil governor bring death and despair on Earth. It is a typical film producer assures us a good time at the movies. Inevitable popcorn and soda.

That same weekend again Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon on the characters that immortalized on Sex and the City 2. A film that seeks to reclaim the success of the first delivery and the six seasons of the HBO series, which two years later sought to have the new adventures of these friends in New York and the Middle East. Very light comedy with explicit sexual comments that leave us calm to want to wait to get to DVD and not spend money on film.

We have to talk about films like The A Team, Toy Story 3, Salt, Predators, The expandable and not invite more movies to theaters over the next four wonderful months.

Iron Man 2 - Reflections on the comic book movie

In this space I have the fortune to share with my two colleagues, Eastwood, and Jairo Alfred Potter, the view that a film is not ontologically good or bad. Avoiding judgments on technical quality, consider a movie as good if it delivers what is expected, rather than seeking more than they can deliver. With this vision, an intimate film, made formally and with exquisite visual detail can be as good as a comedy of errors, a parody or a police chase movie. So it's very difficult to define what is the best film in a given year, for the production variables are also related to the type of expectation that the film has generated. There are films that simply seek to distract the view, other thought-provoking, some of which are responsible explore narrative and formal possibilities of the medium, other than just waiting to tell a story that touches us. Some think that the most representative works must meet only one of these qualities, but there are those who believe that the best films tend to be those that achieve a satisfactory mix of all these qualities.

On this occasion I will refer to Iron Man 2 as a film that does the trick at all levels being raised. Meets the requirements of film genre, and succeeds as a good cult movie, meet fans and newbies. Although it may seem convenient, it is useful to assert that there is a new film genre defined by the comic book adaptation. I do not think that this classification serves as the film has been adapted all kinds of works (painting, literature, journalism, television, radio and even film), and it's absurd to divide products film according to the source material for adaptation - except in the case of 'remake'o fried because it is a reconstruction of the same medium.

funny thing is that it seems very comfortable referring to the comic book adaptation as a particular form, however the storyboard, an essential step in the development of the majority of films, is almost a comic in itself. As the script is a transformation by way of written project, the storyboard sequencing is an image that effectively turns the narrative action in a series of vignettes that can be static be understood by the production team and serve as a guide to its filmic representation.

Thus, it seems absurd to think that the comic was this rather than textual support, but sometimes include visual elements that play on the big screen. But talking about the comic book adaptation as a genre is as absurd as talk of literary adaptation as a genre. The comic, like literature, has many facets and many different types of products.

The case of Iron Man 2 serves as an example, because it gives us a certain kind of comic book - the comic book superhero - whose interest is primarily the entertainment. This type of comics has been characterized by excessive devotion to create images of perfection in human bodies, the creation of characters and stories that extend over time thanks to the constant reproduction of printed comics, and visual exploration of graphic space and communicative possibilities within the printed page, among other qualities that do not want to explore now to avoid spreading too. The relationship with other forms of media can thus be seen clearly: the obsessive interest in the ideal bodies on the comic vision of the Hollywood film, which wallows in actors and actresses who defined the concept of beauty. Narrative continuity separate full stories related to comic book serialized television, rather than film or literature. His exploration of the visual boundaries of the page, away from the film and brings it closer to painting in its expressive desire.

Similarly, the cartoon has been actively nurtured the film and photography. The ideal body reference promulgated by Hollywood have become benchmarks for the creation of characters and actors have been the model for some comic book heroes. The angles and photographic compositions, as well as blur, have served to enrich a medium that originally focused on more general levels. Painting techniques have made the comic not limited to a visual reduction of features, but to explore the possibilities of various techniques such as watercolor and oil paintings.

Iron Man 2 shows many of these issues. Robert Downey Jr. not only plays a major role as Tony Stark, also builds a new facet. This gives him a face more specific in this character, just like Christopher Reeves affected the way that drew a Clark Kent. The obsession with male and female bodies is evident, from the dancers who accompany Stark in his first appearance in this movie, even the clothes stuck Rushman Natalie (Scalet Johansson), focusing especially on the male body of the 'suits' Stark metal. Is excessive interest by the exaggerated male and female body as we have seen in almost all movies based on comic book superheroes (Superman, Batman, Sin City, 300, The Spirit, to name a few).

The construction of the characters developed for many years in the comic book series serves to allow the proceedings in the movie stand out. Robert Downey Jr. manages to embody the narcissistic, arrogant and self-flattering Tony Stark, including weakness for alcohol and extreme self-sufficiency. This dedication to the characters allows them to have bright lines that help you remember the characters and remain in the memory of fans. Beyond that, this constant current international representation through cameos strengthen those characters and created a universe of links that satisfy the most dedicated forever cult following - for example, Tony Stark appears in Hulk, The Incredibles (2008 ) and the next installment of Nick Fury (2011) and The Avengers (2012), or Stan Lee, creator of many Marvel Comics characters, making cameos in the style of Hitchcock.

Interestingly visual possibilities within the page have not been brought to produce similar effects in film. In Iron Man 2 there is no use of visual space to tell stories in parallel, or contrast moments, even to represent the face of Stark or Vanko within the 'costume' mechanic. This aspect of the comic has not permeated both films, though his most important contribution is visual. At best, in The Spirit (2009), Sin City (2005), or 300 (2006) has served to acquire a background image stylistically similar to that produced in the comic, but not for the narrative construction through vignettes.

However, the movies based on superhero comics have had similar good fortune to the literary adaptation. While some have been great successes that continue to produce sequels or franchises (Batman and X-Men as the best examples), others have been significant failures. Furthermore there are also movie versions of comic book superheroes are not, as such, corresponding to a different style of play not based on a monthly or weekly occurrence, but annual best. Asterix has had several film appearances in France, with mixed results, the film Mortadelo and Philemon (2003) was irregular and Mission: Save the Earth (2008) a total failure the next year we will see Steven Spielberg directing the first version of Tintin in the film. We'll see what kind of adaptation shows this famous director.

In short, Iron Man 2 is a film palatable, understandable, with a well-developed main character, showing a visual delight in the male and female bodies, and with a large dose of explosions and high speed chases to violent demonstrations aggressive but not bloody (thereby receiving a classification to avoid the younger go to see it).

The film also has a strong ideological, as Jerome says in his book Rivera Film: Recipes and Symbols , represents both the historical moment as the backdrop against which the work is constructed. It is inevitable to see the reference to the U.S. center of the universe, and technology and free enterprise as a bastion of culture and, presumably, as a promulgation of world peace. No need, either, disqualify the work for this reason. Simply, and as recommended by the book, one must understand that the audiovisual work has many simultaneous messages and we must realize that some of those absorbed without realizing it. Therefore these issues discussed here, to show that there is much to say about the film. Yes, and quoting Rivera, talk about movies, "No let's enjoy it. "

A Paper Tiger Luis Ospina (2007) Hollywood

By: Alfred Eastwood

Hello my friends I recommend a great documentary by a review that publish in the journal The Cali Nail:
A film of gold to a paper tiger The decade of 1970 in Colombia was the golden age of documentary, social and militant commitment and, specifically, the Cali (the famous Caliwood). Big names flourished in that decade and remain in the history of cinema: Carlos Mayolo, and Luis Andres Caicedo Ospina, among others, are associated with the documentary, film quality and, of course, Cali. To the disappearance of the first two film buffs rediscover how great it is Luis Ospina, who after inquiring into the story with "Breath of Life" back to what he likes and does best: telling stories documentaries. In 2007 Ospina dazzled us with his latest documentary, "A Paper Tiger," based on the known history of Pedro Manrique Figueroa, an illustrious figure of the Colombian collage that serves as an excuse to tell a good part of our national history. The director uses the narrative device of "mockumental" or false documentary form only, because it is a real and sincere work. From the figure of Manrique and through a collage narrative, "Ospina us about the history of art, politics and social life in our country through more than three decades, using an interesting and well documented audiovisual material. It is fun and educational two hours, the perfect balance to place "a paper tiger," as one of the most refreshing documentary of our times. " Here a framento the documentary, already get on DVD:

How To Make A Nail Stencil

By Alfred Eastwood
Text to be published in the journal FILMHISTORIA Online, vol. XX, no. 1 (2010).

Hollywood is a fact that (once called the dream factory) is in crisis and it is for many reasons: lack of public, unfair competition, piracy and, not least, the lack of stories.
And where are the stories?
experienced in 2007 Hollywood writers strike that threatened to cripple the industry if not claimed the role of the writer, perhaps the weakest link in the film production chain. The strike of the keyboard could have produced a major crisis for the industry that there would been to attract the public if she did not "thinkers" of the stories, but like the movie The Player (Altman, 1992) was prophetic, the producers dispensed with the services of some genius to come to the artisans, who are increasingly are more common in movies. The Player
spoken in contempt of the industry for writers, who are portrayed as being bohemian, passionate and a little crazy, which contrasts with the glamorous life, waste and arrogance of actors and producers. In an excerpt from the film, the new producer goes so far as to suggest the demise of the writers saying that just read the newspaper to find the stories that count. During
long time, the best and worst films have been produced in the U.S. and some of the stories of Hollywood have been memorable, but in recent years the industry has focused more on the merchandising, promotion of the actors and technical experimentation , leaving the good stories on indie films that also attracts the public sector. The perfect solution for the industry has been the recruitment of the best independent filmmakers, video clips and commercials to fit your style and present a "new face" of the industry.
Piracy, meanwhile, continues to grow and is becoming uncontrollable. Today it is almost ridiculous to think about the big scandal trial in 2001 against Napster (the first site that offered downloads music and videos) that led to its closure, to the increase of sites that allow all types of discharge without any apparent control.
This situation is compounded now with the major problem experienced by the industry to attack piracy today is not a matter of great criminals, if not almost anyone who has Internet access and a good broadband speed. Given the number of movie downloads, legal and illegal, are made every day, the industry loses access to the rooms and had to redesign some years the ritual of cinema to explore new market niches such as food.
As I suggested in my book "Film: Recipes and Symbols", the movie business today is food and should not be too suspicious to understand that there is no reason to ever fewer people go to movies and more open room. The fall box office (which is present in most countries), has led to most of the exhibitors lower the price of the ticket so that more people can attend, but still not profitable, so go to expanding the food supply. In Colombia, a double combo in a room costs an average of $ 16,000 ($ 8) and is sure to win for a combo is over 200%.

Lifeline in 3 dimensions
Against this background, the industry invented the 3D. The funny thing is that the big news is quite old that has been refined in recent years with an impressive development. The possibility of watching movies with volume is a dazzling effect, as such, it becomes tedious. The eye gets used to trick and resents having to maintain for long periods of eye while two signals, we can not forget that 3D is a technique that uses our sense of vision to project two overlapping films that together give the illusion of depth, due to the different information received by each eye.
The effect of the third dimension gives the film striking ingredient and must be recognized to do a movie like Avatar is a delight for the senses so careful of his spectacular technique and the image acquired, although we can not confuse the art with narrative. Avatar, for example, has a nice environmental message and a story that seems new, but that analysis seems too easy to films like Pocahontas and, above all, Dances with Wolves.
also recently was released amid great expectations, the film Alice in Wonderland cult director Tim Burton. Even if not a fan of Burton, we must recognize that it is a serious director, with a cultivated style and characteristic. The tape was announced almost a year in advance and the trailer (presented in 3D movies) could enjoy some stunning visual effects. Beyond the effect, however, there is no grace in this story.
Leaving the technical paraphernalia, the litmus test for one of these movies is the visualization in a traditional theater. The film is being made for the effect and not vice versa, it should be. The special effects must serve the story, to create dramatic impact, because otherwise the film back to its origins of carnival and only assist with the tricks to amaze visual display presented to us. The risk to the industry is that sense of wonder has a limit and, in our times, this is quite short. Hollywood still looking
its glory and thinks he has found the magic formula in 3D and the retreading of stories. The public is less naive than the industry to create and someday will require a return to simplicity, because the real magic of cinema is in good stories.
